Search Engine Optimization (SEO) has become a buzzword in the market. And, why not, when we all are living in a world full of “cut throat” competition. To come out as a winner we need to be competitive. Here comes the power of web promotion and SEO.

Next, there are bright chances that you have been taken here by some search engine(s) and that is only possible if this site is fully optimize for various search engines. Again, here comes the power of web promotion and SEO.

As an experienced web content writer, copywriter and an SEO guy, I personally believe that before coming directly to any conclusion, there should be some justification based upon the background information and solid research. Let’s see the current scenario.

Let’s face it. Today’s consumers are skeptical. But the truth is we all need them.

Can you really blame them?

With all the marketing hype and sales pitches people receive each day, we are all a bit jaded. However, to make the sale we must overcome our prospect’s natural skepticism and create a relationship of trust. We need to respect the feelings of our customers. If they are thinking otherwise, we need to find out why they are doing so. Is there something wrong with them or there is wrong with the people around them?

No matter how best you can be in web promotion or even you have hired some best-of-the-breed web promoter or an SEO writer, you can’t convert your prospects into customers unless you are offering them what they need and that too at their own terms and conditions. The search engines can bring traffic to your website but they can’t really convert them into customers and can’t make any sales on your website. They should genuinely believe and even feel that you are the BEST. That’s where comes a true SEO writer with a perfect blend of great writing skills, marketing knowledge and near to perfect knowledge about various search engines and how they work. Only then you can expect a SUCCESS in the real SEO world.

Moreover, there are some scam artists in the SEO world who think they are the smartest people in the world. So instead of following “organic way” for promotion they follow some cheap tricks to get short-term success to beat the algorithms of search engines. But do you know that can result in complete banning of your website by search engines? By the time your website is banned/punished they are vanished like mushrooms after the rainy season.

So my dear friends always beware of these scam artists. Believe me there are millions of them in this industry. I am sure with a little bit of knowledge about various keywords and their density and placement rules you can do it yourself. First of all, you need to identify various keywords pertaining to your exact products and services. How to do that can again be a daunting task for beginners, but you don’t worry I am here to help you out.

Literally, you need not to be a computer geek or an SEO expert to do all this. With just fair SEO knowledge, some common sense, and a resourceful, imaginative and learning mind, one can be able to keep his or her web site in good position with almost every search engine. That does include even the cases, when the desired search engine has gone through the most significant algorithm changes recently.

Identify, your keywords, make a list and write your content accordingly. Some of the best resources to generate keywords in this regard are: Google Adwords and Overture.
Once you have identified the relevant keywords, write your web site content for your visitors, not just for search engines. The more naturally you write the better chance you may have at the end. Naturally written sites can expect to see the better results in the future. Patience is the real key here because cheaters can get advantage here for a shorter time by playing tricks.
The search engines generally have a relatively difficult time with dynamic content on web sites as compared to static pages. That is because most dynamic pages are created by web sites displaying hundreds or thousands of products they sell and they frequently change their pages. Moreover, this condition is going to be worst in the coming days, as the number of people selling items on the Internet is going to be increased.

Obviously, search engines and minds behind them aren’t fools, they too will improve their technology and would do a better job indexing dynamic content in the future. But till then you need to take care. All you can do at this stage is to join only SEO friendly sites, especially if you are selling products online then invest in database and shopping cart software that are SEO friendly.

Another great point in this regard is about incoming and outbound links. Once thought to be a very difficult thing to manipulate, incoming links to one’s web site have been abused by crafty SEOs and webmasters the world over. I have personally seen many websites that have good money to spend on purchasing links with competitive keywords that point to their site with keywords in the anchor text.

Last but not the least; understand the importance of content distribution. You can distribute good quality content thru content on your website in terms of articles, news or even newsletters and also using daily or weekly postings on your blog. By offering something valuable to your visitors in terms of useful information, tips and reviews on your website and blog you can have an edge over others. Not only this but you can also create a significant amount of content to be posted other web sites, such as EzineArticles, Article City, Go Articles, Article Dashboard, that will include a link back to your own.

Dear friends, never underestimate the importance of useful content. Remember, no matter how smart you are and how smartly you have done the entire SEO, if you aren’t providing your web site visitors with useful information, chances of your success are literally thin. Take it from me, the real SEO doesn’t start with trying to cheat or even beat the algorithm, but it starts with an understanding of what search engines look for in any quality web site.
